The Red Bull Theater

The Red Bull Theater

Named for the rowdy Jacobean playhouse that illegally performed plays in England during the Puritan era and was the first London theatre to reopen after the Restoration, the Red Bull Theater brings rarely seen plays from historical eras to dynamic new life for contemporary audiences. The company also produces new works that are in conversation with the classics.

The Onteora Theater

The Onteora Theater, now a historical landmark, was built in 1926 and held its first production in 1927, the Joseph Jefferson version of Rip Van Winkle. Supported by the Onteora Club’s members, the theater has since then presented two plays each season, one in which the cast members are adults, and one in which the performers are all children.
